So when I replace it it will probably have cost something like 15p/day for the hardware alone. I pay £15/month for 4g (up from £12/month for the first few years) so actually the data costs far more than the hardware. I never really considered that.
I paid about $560 in US money for the handset (interest free over 24 months - 77 cents a day?) but have now used it for about 3.5 years - currently works out about 44 cents.
