It was definitely a departure from the more linear, curated experience. I enjoyed it a lot, but I’m very ready for another linear FromSoft game with less travel and more boss time.
I honestly much preferred ER on a first playthrough, but unlike other souls games (where I had more fun on subsequent playthroughs with different builds) the game got worse during subsequent playthroughs by a substantial margin. The open world started feeling more like a chore than a journey
I don’t get it? I haven’t played demon souls or bloodborne but have beat the rest multiple times

Usually there are some bad parts, like in this one for Game of Thrones:
