    Even before going in, the operation was a limited offensive only by a technical definition, but was clearly to everyone (including Netanyahu and Biden) as a major offensive. Biden has been trying to negotiate with Netanyahu, but ideology of Netanyahu and right-wing zionism does not regard Arabs (or any non-Jews) as equal persons to Israelis.

    At this point it’s going to be difficult to square cooperation with the Israeli state without also condoning atrocity against humanity. Both Israel and the US are demonstrating they would be fine with a genocide machine comparable to the Holocaust, so long as privileged groups (whites, Jews, Christians) are not targeted as Lebensunwertes Leben.

    Both states are now implicitly suggesting Hitler did nothing wrong or at most chose some [awkward] targets.

      Yep. and don’t forget this “limited Rafah operation” was going to get rid of the last remains of Hamas and their tunnels and deliver israel to total victory!
