after the last month of dealing with both finding a rental to live in and a commercial rental to work in, god i hope so lol

If only haha I assure if I had money this would be less of an issue lol. I’m basically an independent contractor and just have my own clientele but the place I work out of rn takes like half my money despite just providing a space.

The issue is every office space around me thinks they can do a triple net lease with price per sq ft being the going market rate, so like… I looked at a 600 sq ft office yesterday they want almost 4K a month for. Shit is wild :/

Been trying to find an office to move my business into and i can’t hardly find anything that isn’t an absurd amount of money

There was that guy who basically did that in Canada where he sent in two identical resumes but with one with a more typical white american/Canadian name and one with his actual non-western name (I forget what his ethnicity was) and then would sue the company when they’d only call back the white name

I hate the double standard for shit like this bc of course they expect works to be at beck and call 24/7

My partner recently applied to a place and took like 3 weeks to reject her, it was one her friend had vouched for her for so she had everything on hold waiting

It’s as good as an entertainment product made by corporations could be id say. It isn’t revolutionary, it’s a good starting point for having a conversation about feminism. I’d like it to have gone further but I’m not surprised it didn’t.

Personally, I think it actually does a better job of critiquing misogyny in media more than it does in society as a whole they way it frames men in the film bc the way it did seems to have made a lot of dudes really uncomfortable and like idk maybe they should have a think on that lol
