“These are not lawful arrests. These are abductions,” said Flores. “For more than a week, we have witnessed families being torn apart, children left without parents, and residents vanishing without explanation. Men dressed in tactical gear, operating unmarked vehicles without displaying credentials or agency affiliation, have infiltrated our neighborhoods in direct violation of our community’s values, civil rights, and the basic principles of due process.”
Flores formally ordered the Huntington Park Police Department “to begin verifying the identities and authority of any individuals conducting such operations within city limits” and to enforce vehicle codes requiring cars to have visible license plates and agency markings.

WASHINGTON, June 9 – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) today released the following statement after President Trump bypassed California’s governor to deploy National Guard troops to California:
"Let’s be clear: Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in California is not about the protests there, ICE, or immigration. It is about using extremely dubious legal authority to expand his never-ending grasp for more power and his effort to move this country toward authoritarianism. This is a president who has usurped the constitutional responsibilities of Congress; threatened to impeach judges who rule against his policies; sued media that criticize him; extorted money from law firms that have represented his opponents; and is withholding funds from universities for teaching courses he doesn’t like.
“In our federalist form of government, it is the governor of a state who deploys the National Guard — not the president of the United States. It is absurd and laughable for the Trump administration to argue that they needed to mobilize the National Guard because of a threat from a “foreign invasion” or “rebellion” against the United States. This is just another example of Trump wanting more power for himself and ignoring the law. All Americans – Democrats, Republicans, independents – must stand together against this gross abuse of power.”

The intent of the person you replied to being, WTF is “we didn’t have a problem”?? Yes, everyone please clap for Newsom, he called ICE cruel! He sure told Trump off! I’ll criticise Newsom all day long and you can call me stupid and complain about where I’m putting my goalposts.
theLetterJto politics @lemmy.world•Newsom requests Trump admin return National Guard control to California1·24 days agoNewsom “condemns” ICE the way Republicans condemn the deficit. I.e., not in any way that matters. And now events are forcing him to pretend to care.
theLetterJto politics @lemmy.world•Newsom requests Trump admin return National Guard control to California2·24 days agoThank you, yes he said that.
I’m saying that “We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved. This is a serious breach of state sovereignty — inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they’re actually needed. Rescind the order. Return control to California.” is a WTF level statement. Newsom will happily let ICE empty out people from homes as long as it is done politely.
theLetterJto politics @lemmy.world•Newsom requests Trump admin return National Guard control to California8·25 days agoI dont interpret that as conflation, more pointing out, why doesn’t Newsom consider ICE kidnappings a problem?? He’s only concerned about the unrest just like he pretends to be addressing homelessness by criminalization

Not to mention there is a third thing called Collections on mobile. It’s such a shitshow. Just make bookmarks better!!! Like, I am forced to peruse the fully expanded directory tree while saving and moving bookmarks on mobile? So hellish, I am dead, every time.
I should add that I use directories extensively… I just checked and I am at 22 full-screen-length scrolls from beginning to end - so, at least 250 folders. It doesn’t help that indentation levels are barely hinted at
