It definitely feels like the vibes have shifted, doesn’t it? I think the people I do know who have had luck with those apps had that luck years ago (2018 and 2020)

I actually met my last partner on bumble, though it didn’t end well lol probably should have never been in that relationship to begin with

Which partially adds to my argument. Relationships aren’t only about hooking up and that’s kind od what they’ve turned into, everything else takes a backseat. I don’t deny that people have found long-lasting relationships and even marriages with those apps, but I’m willing to say it is the exception and not the rule.

And it all stems from some fucks in Silicon Valley trying to play algorithmic matchmaker and turn dating into a queue. Who knows maybe I’ll cave and try it again later (and hopefully change my outlook) but I’m done for now.
