He has data to back his claim. This isnt the first time reddit had experience backlash from its users and many times, people just simply move on. Casual users will continue to browse reddit thru their official app and loudest voices are usually the minority. Unless the mods continue to close their respective subreddit or/and move to other platform, I don’t see reddit going down any time soon.
i think the ideal course of action is to continue the blackout indifinitely. As spez said, the impact isnt that significant. 2-3 days blackout in a year is nothing. But personally, the best course of action is for the mods to agree and abandon reddit entirely and start/joined a new platform. Reddit for me is a lost cause. while Spez is the head of reddit, nothing will change.
true. I am literate in internet/computer yet the idea in general is still confusing. Navigating is also abit jarring, and I dont understand some buttons and features like “boost”. It would be great for beginners to include a tutorial for navigating the UI and a short introduction of the fediverse in #teachmelikeim5 level
does it really matter what is behind tbe curtains? What we are presented is a shitty ceo and crappy company. Trying to create a story without any basis is presumptious and only divides the people further.
