To quickly further expand on my previous example with a few I thought of afterwards,
Seriously, I don’t get the issue but I understand the phenomenon. It’s like painters when the camera was invented,
“cameras will put us out of work, cameras are lower quality, anyone with a camera can just take a picture!”
Painters are still around, painted art is still desired and expensive. It will be the same over time with AI, we just have to wait for people to get over it.
This was my ex girlfriend, she had her a girlfriend when we met but they both understood that she was more attracted to men. We had a sit down early on and agreed that from time to time they would need some alone time, and that worked until they broke up over money.
The funny part was they were both bi, my girlfriend was more attracted to men, and her girlfriend was more attracted to women. So I saw both sides of it.

So what Elon did was took a loan against his assets, Tesla stock, at a low APR with very loose repayment terms, then paired that with money pledged by a few other minority investors and that’s how he was able to quickly come up with 44 billion to buy Twitter.

Signal has already stated that they will pull out of the UK if they go through with their version of this, I imagine they’ll say the same for the EU.
Get a good VPN, exit it from a non-5 eyes country, and hope they don’t start blocking by phone number alone… and hopefully they’ll drop the phone number requirement sooner than later.

Crypto (ETH and the like) is useful for it’s protocol, you can build projects on it.
Bitcoin is a good store of value, and with lightning payments starting to be accepted it could be a good way to pay for goods and services. The third world is currently using lightning to circumvent inflationary currency swings.
To quote the bird from the Flintstones “It’s a living”. Honestly I don’t hate my job, bored and annoyed with some stuff, but they treat us plebs with a fair amount of decency, plus they pay us decently compared to the rest of the industry.

Yep, I was lucky to have a few out of the box thinking teachers and I learned more from that handful of teachers than all the others combined.
I had a social studies teacher that had us act out historical events…he was asked not to return the next year after ordering us, the roman legion marching down the hall, to attack the vice principal.
I had a government teacher who would teach the facts for three days then spend Thursday and Friday debating us on the facts.
Several others like them that just challenged the status quo are the only reason I graduated high school.
In the mid 90’s I was in a computer class and we had some really basic paint program that our teacher said we had to make a piece of art with that included a saying.
This was at the height of the Got Milk campaign so guess what everyone did, a cow or a glass with Got Milk as their slogan. Since we were allowed to listen to CDs with the CD ROM and a pair of headphones I popped in some Aerosmith and made a geometric man with a Dr Seuss hat and my slogan was “Reality is such a drag”.
The next day the teacher calls everyone but me up and gives them their B graded print out, then he calls me up and hands me mine with an A+ and says that’s for not doing got milk and actually being creative…by the way where did you come up with that? I told him I heard it on the Aerosmith album I was listening to, he grinned and asked if I liked Boston. I told him I hadn’t listened to them before, and the next day he had a Boston CD sitting at my desk when I sat down, turned out he had a book of CDs he kept in there and let me borrow anything I wanted during class for the rest of the year.
I mean he could just make the platform “we’ll unblock the porn” and nothing else and win a majority in the first election.
And the book will have been better.
I put together a chair for my mom and they included a consumer grade T-hex with a molded plastic and rubber handle. This was for a single $120 wooden chair. It’s now in my toolbox next to my multi size hex key tool.

Half point to you though, I probably did watch it 7 years ago, I got into the channel after reading an article about it on some website and watched all of the back catalog in less than a week.
A year or two ago the YouTube channel primitive technologies did a video where he built under floor heating for his hut with an outdoor fire. It reminded me of how the Romans heated their floors.
While true, they are worried that people will spend money on drugs and those aren’t taxable, that’s what they’re really talking about.
I was just pointing out that they still exist, basically they adapted and remained in business.
