Not yet! I did see the panicked people on a Vormithrax play through though, really cool addition tbh.
I didn’t know about the new Z-level update, how does that work? I usually just peek downstairs using the X button together with < or >.
Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. Because I usually die in like the first week in game lol
Now it’s just the subscribe button that’s not working.
I’m running into this too on Fedora Linux with latest Firefox, I thought it was just me.
It is! Every playthroughout generates a new map, with new items and NPC (although NPC are quite rare by default). Its a really cool game honestly, unlike anything else imo (closest thing is project zomboid but CDDA is soooo much more complex), it really blew my mind initially that an open source and free game this good exists.
You can play through the terminal too since tilesets aren’t required (thus you an play in complete ASCII mode).
What I like about the game is that its so realistic that in most cases you can pretty much just think “okay what would I do in real life in this situation?” And go from there, for example the crafting system is incredibly vast and you can build most things you can imagine.
I agree, I’m gonna add some info from the CDDA wiki for people starting out as the game can be kinda difficult at first, as well as write a little overview going over some good tutorial series and other useful stuff.
Edit: Aw rip looks like there’s already a cataclysm community over at lemmy.ml, but I’ll keep this one up for redundancy and post to it anyway! I’ll try to be active over at the Lemmy.ml community too though.
Ah yeah, makes sense.
I’ve been feeding it a teaspoon of sugar and ginger since it started, and its starting to foam and bubble pretty nicely. I think I’ll taste it tomorrow and if it tastes very sweet, I’ll stop feeding it for a couple days.
So far so good, the aroma has gone from a very strong ginger smell to a yeasty ginger smell so it seems to be working very well.
I do indeed have the book! Forgot about the ginger part of it, gotta revisit!
The gelatinous mat is probably a scoby pellicle, I think it’s normal
Wait wtf it’s this easy to ferment ginger? I need to give this a try asap! Thanks for sharing.
Might give it a try, I’m in IT so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Would be a fun project
This seems delicious, gonna give it a try once I got all the ingredients!
Incredibly cool, will def try this
That’s what I was thinking too, creating a couple more accounts purely out of redundancy. Fair, hopefully maybe there will be a way to export subscriptions in the future.
A krita or gimp one would be awesome.
Either way the blackout goes, I’m staying on Lemmy. Better platform imho
Oh woah that recipe actually seems delicious! Gonna give it a try today if I have the ingredients, thanks for the link!
Oh I meant like recipe wise once you’re done fermenting it, like once you cook it haha! Trying to find more ways to incoorperate tempeh into my daily diet. That looks really decent though, I’ll give this a try sometime! Doesn’t seem super tricky.
That looks great! Was it easy to do? Would love to attempt making Tempeh someday.
What do you usually do with it? Like recipe wise?
Oh sweet!
