Teachers want to teach but what they’re asked to achieve is impossible without working 60-70 hour weeks.
And when people talk about all the holiday they receive: all the teachers I know use that time to crash, become ill, recover, and then they’re back to work.

I read the article and it doesn’t seem that unreasonable that they pulled the documentary while they investigate the production company.
For example, if I was watching a documentary on Gaza and there was some close connection to the IDF and the production company, I would probably want that investigated too, as the documentary could be misrepresentative.
I hope that the BBC investigates and that the documentary is found to be accurate or as unbiased as possible, or whatever criteria they are looking to satisfy.
The more documentaries exposing the suffering in Gaza the better!

Setup felt like a nightmare but once everything is up and running it’s fine.
The other issue is maintenance which is where I gave up. Easier and more painless to just pay another company to do that and not have to worry about server security, spam, the endless SSH requests for ‘admin’, etc etc
What I don’t understand, so please forgive my naivety, is that surely Equans is in breach of contract, so the schools and/or council could sue? I’m wondering why that hasn’t happened…
I remember having that “net” version of a MiniDisc player, and I would have kept it but it was SO slow to copy music from your computer onto the device.
Plus eBay had those stick shaped MP3 players for about £25 which could hold around an album’s worth of music, and transfer times were much faster; although slow by today’s standard

So just to help a little bit without getting too technical…
df -h is your friend to find out which physical drive or partition relates to which directory (called the “mount point”)
If you want, you can set up each drive/partition to be mounted a bit Windows-esque.
For example:
//mnt/d//mnt/e/And so on.
You’ll need to look up fstab to understand how to do that.
I understand it’s tricky to get your head around initially as I felt exactly the same coming from Windows to Linux.
Once you get your head around partitions being able to be mounted anywhere, it actually becomes really handy
new funding for a confidential service to provide prevention therapy to potential offenders before they commit that horrid act against a child.

I would recommend watching “Louis Theroux - Among the sex offenders” to get a better understanding of the lack of treatment available for people who don’t want to offend but feel compelled. Some of them are crying out for treatment!

Having been a tenant and having been a landlord I think this is excellent news. Everything listed seems completely reasonable!
With some luck it will reduce/prevent the number of shameful landlords out there.
