I kept a list of all music I bought in 2021 as a resolution to listen to 52 new albums that year.

It’s just for me. I smile when I see the list and think about which albums stuck with me and which didn’t. It’s not a serious thing, it’s a bit like looking at pictures - if you didn’t see the list, would you remember all 3000+ books?

It’s nice to be reminded of how things made you feel by triggering a memory. That’s how I think of it.

These are not alike. We are talking about individuals choosing for themselves, before they die. If you choose not to share when you pass, why would you be prioritised over someone who was willing?

Genuinely held beliefs or not, religion and spirituality have no role to play in the survival of a community system.

I’m sorry you have to deal with that. I have been in a similar position in the past. We are in a better place now and sober - what came out of my partner at their worst is not reflective of their true feelings, it was reflective of the traumatic environment they were raised in.
