I have the PinePhone Pro in a drawer somewhere. It’s just a fun toy, not even remotely usable as a daily driver. But I might have a look at it again and see how many tasks still remains before I could theoretically use Mobian as a daily driver.

Yes indeed. For a lot of people it’s as easy as “current system bad, let’s try this other thing” and then they rationalize it somehow.
Personally I don’t think we have figured the right system out yet. And due to technological, economical and cultural development what worked best previously will most likely not be the best system moving forward anyway.
I’m all for trying out new things and see what works. A lot of what we do now obviously isn’t working and there’s so much counterintuitive stuff that happens that I say we, the people of earth, just try a lot of things, we have enough countries and subcountries that there’s room to test even things that seems like nonsense to most people.
Smith’s main goal with capitalism was to create a system to distribute the wealth of the nation to the people of the nation to the betterment of all. In his time feudal lords sat in their huge estates, hoarding wealth and waged pointless war to the detriment of everyone else. Capitalism was a radically left wing ideology for its time.
Am Norwegian. We argue a lot of whether we live under socialism or capitalism, we have a pretty good mix of both I think. Also, I dont think they’re really mutually exclusive, it’s more like some parts of society like healthcare, trains and police make sense to do as socialism and other things like TV channels, grocery stores and construction make sense to do as regulated capitalism.
Most relatable meme in a while, feels weird to feel so much nostalgia for an Operating system
No, quick is snabb, so its a snabbslut
In my Magic the Gathering community there’s a few kids, youngest was 12 at some point. Most of us are adults 20-50.
I really like interacting with the kids, they bring a lot of innocent joy and glee to the game that many adults seems to forget, they’re also quite competent and do win a lot.
We don’t treat them much different from adults, apart from not talking about politics, interests rates and other boring adults stuff that suddenly became super interesting as soon as I got a job and mortgage.
In Norwegian it’s all together (alle sammen).
Should be Klokk tbh.
It’s very much on brand for Peer, at least in the beginning of the play https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_Gynt
I like to get a little intoxicated and find the different headspaces the drugs provides to be very relaxing and fun. That said, I get a really good calming buzz from a cup of coffee and some particular candy (vespebol) these days.
I used to drink a lot, mostly because it was fun and relaxing to start, then it became habitual. I drink way less now, I like the buzz and mindset I get from a few beers, but I no longer need the escape that drunkenness provides and I’ve grown to really dislike it. Stopped drinking for a little while, then eased back into it and experimented with it for a few years. I found that for me the cost of drinking increases exponentially per unit and the benefits flattens and become costs after a few units now.
I only have tobacco when someone has rolled a joint with it. Had my first while cigarette at 29, I got a really good nicotine shock from it, which I loved, but my lungs hurt for days afterwards so I’m staying away from tobacco, never tried snus either even though it’s pretty huge around here.
Don’t really smoke much weed either, but I’ll have a puff if someone is offering. I like the buz and calmness it brings.
I have been doing a lot of vacationing “at home” this year and it’s been a blast. Helps that it’s been the warmest summer in recorded history (as long as I don’t think about it too hard).
Going abroad and discover other cultures and climates is great and all, but it’s so easy to miss how great it can be close to home or just a few hours by train.
Trump says […] Data says otherwise.
Sums up his whole life, no?
If they’re anything like my they’re just gonna fill it anyway and have an even bigger problem. I actually got a smaller cup to make the problem smaller.
I have sooo much great weird music I got for free or 50 cents per album.
Well yes, probably. But, if you buy on Bandcamp or sites like it you can download the songs and host and store them yourself so it’s not like you have to start over when they eventually get shit.
Well no. We have around 20% increase in rain as well as higher temperatures. So unless you fancy hiking in a swamp we were better off with the snow.
I feel lucky if I get one good ski trip a season these days. It’s awful.
I watch YouTube in the background with Vivaldi and Brave on Android and never have to log in.
I thought so too, but over the years I have migrated so much of my life away from apps in order to see if it’s possible and apart from games I find that with a browser and an email client I don’t really need apps. Still use apps though, they are way more convenient.
Banking is tedious without apps, but works with browser and an MFA-dongle in my country.
