I’ve used a fair number of them from Amazon, they all have worked in any browser. I think I might have had to manually specify http and not https for setup though.

I’ll still eat stuff with pineapple if that’s what’s available, but I’d never intentionally get it for myself.

–password-store=basic
The line for my chrome setup for some public computers at work is:
Exec=/usr/bin/google-chrome-stable --password-store=basic %U
So you’d just need to replace the file path to your chromium path and it should work.

Surely the multi trillion dollar company should be able to compete with free competitors?
UnpledgedCatnapTipperto Star Trek@lemmy.zip•What Star Trek media did you watch in the last week? - 05/28/25English2·1 month agoDS9 s1e17 and 18 (The Forsaken and Dramatis Personae). I’m watching again (for the umpteenth time) with a friend who has not watched DS9 before. Notable reactions from my friend:
-
Lwaxana Troi is a mess
-
when Kira is trying to sway Dax in e18, their comment was simply “gay” followed by “I’m such an adult”
-
Sisko’s clock is really cool
I relate to O’Brien in e17 way too much, having to deal with 20+ year old computer equipment at work all the time.

From your position, should the school be forced to let someone wear a shirt with slurs on it? Where is the line?

I researched some rather poorly documented (from a user/admin perspective at least, I can’t speak on the source code) features to automate the install process so all I need to do is boot to the usb drive, enter the name of the computer, and set the password. This will save all of these systems from being sent to e-waste!
Yesterday I figured out getting remote desktop sharing to work via my management agent that doesn’t have a direct feature for that on Linux. I’m considering asking for the vendor to add the option as it can be done with the built in features (plus some free, open source software installed on each system), I just need to manually enter a few pieces of information instead of it automatically doing it like it can on Windows!

My doctor started me on just the instant release for like a month to see how it went, and it was ok but the crash/comedown was rough (headaches mostly!). She then put me on just the XR which kinda worked but was far less effective. Now I take a combo, and it avoids the problems with each individual med.
I take a 10mg XR and 5mg instant in the morning, and then around lunch I take another 5mg instant. It’s been like 11 months of that combo and it’s still working well, though I do tend to not take it on weekends which might be helping avoid tolerances going up too quickly!
My insurance pays for most of it, I think 30 days for each is like $10 or $20 total.

What sort of hardware are you running? I’ve been converting some old computers at work in our “Business Centers” to Linux with Plasma and have not experienced anything like you’re describing. They range from pentium dual cores from like 2011 up to 6th gen i5s, and all of them have been working great.
