  • You are right, I’ve mistaken o( ̄▽ ̄)ブ it seems they no longer shared the source code with the public around 2016 (what ever came after version 3.x) but they forgot to remove GNU-GPL from their website until 2020… still, it’s the best alternative I managed to find for IDM. There’s a bunch more like Motrix, uGet, Jdownloader etc… but they’re too finicky for me to deal with… I would love to get some recommendation if anyone has one…

  • The only real crack for IDM is the Ali.dbg one. Rest usually don’t get updated and cause issues, make sure to fully uninstall IDM before installing a new version (using: Bulk Crap Uninstaller, Revo Uninstaller, etc…)

Btw, Free Download Manager is something to consider, it’s opensource, free, without any tracking/ads 🐂💩 (With integration for FireFox and Chrome or any browser based on these two.)

    • never pay for a software that spends more time creating problems instead of improving their product.

  • I had a 980 FE and it was begging for mercy, you can get good frames on 1080p, low settings, if your card has good cooler, so it won’t turn into a grilling pan. But i would suggest upgrading even with a second hand part (i got myself a second hand palit 3070 jet stream, it is a trooper, but the cooler can’t keep up with the heat at times.) so yeah, that’s that.

I should add games like csgo, fortnite, rainbow, gta v, rdr2, skyrim runs fine on a 4gb but still…

  • Quality? ✅ Performance? ✅ Usability? ✅ Powerful and Vast Add-ons? ✅ Massive DSP? ✅ Good Looking? ❌ (Easy to use UI, but man it looks Windows 98 as hell!)

Foobar2000 is a Fantastic choice if you do not care about the look of your player but only the quality and ease of use. At some point and time I remember Foobar had a ton of custom themes made by the community, but they all were a pain to install or remove. 😅

(I’m not an audiophile by any means, but for me Aimp and MusicBee did sound good as well, but I preferred Foobar since I had more control over DSP and other stuff…)
