  • Again, I’m not talking about the devs, I’m talking about the suits. The higher-ups. The decision makers.

It is correct, that Dan Houser, who was one of the founders of R* and one of the main writers of the GTA series, has left alongside Jamie King, who’s also a co-founder of R*. Sam Houser is still president of R* as is Strauss Zelnik the CEO and chairman of T2.

You can exchange as many devs if you want, the direction they’re going to won’t change because they’re not in charge.

  • Because of the way Rockstar / Take Two handles it. Starting by ignoring everything but consoles for up to two years, to making new content for multi-player only because it’s basically a money printing machine to how they handle cheaters/script kiddies (like: not at all, as long as it doesn’t involve money cheats), to locking already bought cars away behind another paywall. I like GTA V and I like RDR2, I just don’t like those greedy suits that run R* and T2

  • I never played DnD even though we planned to start a group but you know how it is. So far we had three sessions of BG3 and it’s a bit chaotic. Different people starting dialogues at the same time, people starting dialogues and no one else is noticing it stuff like that. I enjoy to play just one character and learning it’s abilities inside-out but the level of control I have in single player suits me more. That is, if the npcs aren’t too stupid to follow me again.

About OT: I’m 12 hours into the co-op campaign and 55 hours into my solo campaign. So far I had some issues where quest markers didn’t vanish after the quest was finished, some quest log entries didn’t get set to “done” once the quest was finished and at one point a item I needed to progress wasn’t where it’s supposed to be. Most of the things could be fixed by just reloading or restarting the game. Same goes for HUD Infos that I am silenced, even though I’m not even in combat anymore. Once reloaded it was gone. Sometimes the camera does weird stuff which can make it tricky to go where you want to go, especially if there are multiple floors in a building. All in all it just needs some polishing. Story wise I was just at a point where I thought I really understand what’s going on just for the story to broaden so widely that it would’ve been enough content for three games. Even the companion quests are well written, interesting and unique. Sometimes even intertwined with each other.

  • Well I just attended my very first tabletop game last week. Wanted to be part of this for some time but didn’t have the contacts and I’m not good at making new ones.

I had BG3 on my wishlist since it’s in EA. Mostly, because I loved DoS2.

We’re also trying to start a DnD campaign, also my very first one, since november last year but there’s either no time or something else comes up. From what I heard some people don’t have their character sheet finished.

Anyway, when I heard someone at the tabletop game talking about Baldur’s Gate being a place in the DnD universe, some slight hype might’ve kicked in.

I hope I can find a group to play with, guess that’ll be a ton more fun than playing with AI.
