  • I mean, we watched DeadEnd Paranormal Park. And its just a mid tier show. Cancel it for that. I haven’t watched it since it came out but I remember it leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

I think the worst thing that it does is try so hard to virtue signal that it forgot to write an interesting or novel show.

Every character just feels like a token. Like they don’t exist as real people, but are merely a vessel for which to preach directly to the viewer. Every character just feel shoehorned in, not because it makes sense, but because the writers wanted to check off a box. Characters seem wholly inconsistent and instead seem to do whatever serves the episode narrative.

That and the talking dog character with super powers makes no goddamn sense 90% of the time.

  • this is an excellent thing to bookmark. Veteran suicides far outpace the national average when controlling for population. 22 is a number all veterans are aware of, meaning 22 veterans a day die by suicide.

In the times we’re living in, no support, no healtcare, no help, homeless veterans… its easy to see how the situation becomes hopeless.
So you have 22 people a day, trained for violence, giving up, becoming pessmisitic, nihilistic… It’s honestly a wonder we haven’t seen more cases exactly like this…

  • Mainly that I don’t understand how to use containers… or VMs that well… I have and old MyCloud NAS and little pucky PC that I wanted to run simple QoL services on… HomeAssistant, JellyFin etc…

I got Proxmox installed on it, I can access it… I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing… There was a website that allowed you to just run scripts on shell to install a lot of things… but now none of those work becuase it says my version of Proxmox is wrong (when it’s not?)… so those don’t work…

And at least VMs are easy(ish) to understand. Fake computer with OS… easy. I’ve built PCs before, I get it… Containers just never want to work, or I don’t understand wtf to do to make them work.

I wanted to run a Zulip or Rocket.chat for internal messaging around the house (wife and I both work at home, kid does home/virtualschool)… wanted to use a container because a service that simple doesn’t feel like it needs a whole VM… but it won’t work…

#Evanescence - Bring Me To Life

Absolutely hate that song. It’s bad enough that it’s the poster child for baby’s first “emo/goth” song. Badly written, overly dramatic, cheesy cringe af… But I hate it for more than that.

I used to do (nearly) weekly karaoke with friends at the bar. And almost every week, every goddamn week, some “quirky” scene couple on their first date thinks they’ll try to be cute sing a duet together… and everytime, every goddamn time, it’s “Bring me to Life”. And no, they can never sing, it sounds like if gym sneakers had autism.

Hate that song. Not just me, like, everyone who frequently does karaoke hates that song. Most karaooke DJs don’t even let you pick it, they know what’s up and they’re even more sick of hearing it. I hear that song and I get fucking PTSD flashbacks. The cringe is physically painful.

  • It’s so bad because that’s a lot of people exposure to what socialism is. To the point where they think that the “Communist Manifesto” was written by Marx and Lenin… mfs don’t actually read anything. Or understand why ML is auth-tankie bullshit.
You wanna read some original communist theory, read the manifesto. Then read the other papers by Marx and Engels… but if you think ML was a success or the ideal model… you’re a fucking moron.
