The parasite is coccidia.

The vet said there’s no way to know how it got in the house or in her pen, but he said there’s nothing we did or didn’t do that would cause it.

When I googled it, it said the way to avoid it is regularly cleaning the pen and avoiding overcrowding. My wife cleans up the pen two or three times daily, including changing the pads in the litter boxes, and changes out the fleece bedding and washes everything down with vinegar water every week. Daisy and Rose share two Midwest pens, so they have a bit less than 16 square feet, so overcrowding isn’t really an issue.

Daisy is completely fine. I’m not sure why Rose was affected and Daisy wasn’t, but I’m glad it isn’t worse.

I’m ready to weep from this.

Cremation doesn’t burn everything to ash. Pieces of bone are left intact and must be mechanically pulverized to make the remains a powder.

When my dad’s dog was cremated many years ago, the remains they gave us were partially ash, but the larger pieces hadn’t been pulverized. It still had many intact pieces of bone. We could see evidence of some injuries and degenerative disease the dog had experienced in his hip and spine.

I’m not sure how many people would be down for rooting through their pet’s remains for proof that it is the right animal.

Of course, it’s not an entirely unreasonable question to ask, and if they were asking it seriously, it could lead to some self-reflection and improvement.

For example, maybe people are trying to assassinate Trump because he’s made it clear that he approves of assassination as a political tool, and he’s also made it clear that he is a worthless piece of slime. Maybe Harris just isn’t quite bad enough to rise to the level of murder to a bunch off morons.

Also Harris hasn’t really disappointed anyone. I don’t think anyone who plans on voting for her believes she’s the second coming of Christ or any bullshit like that.
