Therapists aren’t bad but I don’t know that they can’t be replaced by friends and family. A lot of people who are dealing with stress, depression, anxiety etc just need a confidant more than a professional, and in a functioning society where people actually care about each other (read: communism) therapists wouldn’t be needed nearly as much. Obviously there are some conditions which do need professional care but I know that my therapist was basically just a guy who I paid to be my friend

My friend has pretty severe anxiety and texts me about it a lot when she’s feeling anxious and I never know what I’m supposed to say. I used to have really bad anxiety but now I’m a lot better but she kinda ignores any advice I give her. It’s a bit frustrating to deal with because I want to help her when she texts me, but she never listens to anything I tell her and she expects me to make her calm down even though she ignores all my advice.

I haven’t done anything with my org for months and I always feel like an outsider there. The only thing I do to advance communism in any way is talking about it with my lib friends but I really need to be doing more
