That’s exactly right. I did an STI panel after every partner and was completely clean, but what I’ve heard (not sure if it’s true or not) is that if you get cold sores it’s basically indistinguishable from the ones downstairs and HSV is harder to test for than others. My doc could explain it better, no doubt.
Idk, the ol’ herp is an interesting retrovirus. But I think something like 6 in 10 people have one of the two forms. I really did try to do everything to make sure I was good to go before hopping in bed with someone else. Not that anyone is saying I didn’t, just wanted to make that known.
This is a great example of weather and not climate. There are always one-off weather anomalies like snow one day in May or a 72 degree F day in December, but it’s not good when these happen frequently.
Globally, the trends get warmer and warmer every year. Just because there was a warm December day 40 years ago doesn’t really mean anything. What means something is these days keep happening more and more everywhere, and this has long term implications for everything. It won’t be our extinction event but as other have said, we won’t be living in the same world we are now.
