recently jumped ship from /r/brisbane, looking to make this my new home.
I didn’t need to read the excerpt to know where this flight was heading.
the age of the third individual was the most surprising part.
never heard them referred to as that, but then again this seems like a country term and I wouldn’t call the outer suburbs of Brisbane exactly country…
this is how youtube looks with it turned on
just hides comments on most sites/articles
so news articles, youtube, fediverse apparently lol
it was actually pretty nice to go to youtube and only see the video and the related videos column
better than what I experienced last week which was literally no comments displaying on any thread, whether I was logged in or not
figured it was a bug, came back days later and still nothing.
… realised I had forgotten I turned on the “Block comments where they aren’t the primary focus” option on in 1Blocker which synced across my devices.
drove from Philly to Boston with a stop in NYC and it honestly wasn’t that bad
with that being said I would never dream of driving from Brisbane to Canberra again. next time I want to see snow I am flying down — the return trip was the worst.
I know they’re totally different distances but even to Sydney is a stretch for me these days.
don’t even get me started with driving north of Brisbane…
I don’t think you interpreted the second part how they meant it…
my favourite hike.
I am a bit of a bigger person and it’s enjoyable. it’s tough, but if you pace it right it’s fine and the pay off is well worth it
stay away from mount coolum, it’s deceptively tough and honestly I don’t think it’s that great
I call it chermy 🫣
100% agree, and I hope as working from home becomes more popular/more of a standard, I will be much less dependent on my car.
obviously this can’t be the case for everyone but i’d be happy not driving 2 hours a day for work, let alone 3-4 hours on public transport.
I think until there’s better public transport to other areas of SEQ (and further even), we are going to always have a need for vehicles.
I would love to be able to catch a train to the heart of Caloundra, but for now the most efficient way for me to travel is to drive everywhere.
I got the notification ☺️
EXIF data, not meta data… Stupid bagel.
hahaha I am, and i hold my phone in my left hand. so when I take a photo, I rotate my phone clockwise which is “upside down” (camera lenses on the bottom of the phone) and gives me the same issue as OP.
normally web services will do the work for you by auto rotating and stripping the metadata. you could do a tiny edit like adjust the exposure by +/- 1 and then save. that should save the correct orientation.
I have a question for you though… are you left handed?
if you’re a shift worker surely you have other times available to do your shopping other than after 6pm on a Sunday? like Monday morning?
