Also ich bin jetzt keins von beidem sondern sehe mich eher als linksgrün versiffter Öko. Trotzdem holt Volt mich, vor allem mit dem was zu Klima vertreten zu 100 % ab, mehr als die Grünen. Nur mal so angemerkt.
Ergänzend:
Westdeutschland hat seit den 60ern zunehmend eine Liberalisierung erfahren, in dem Sinn das die immer noch prägenden Weltbilder (Auch Familienbilder) aus dem dritten Reich sich langsam öffnen konnten. Das hat in Westdeutschland zwar auch Subkultirell angefangen (Punk, Frauenbeweging, etc), ist aber zunehmend auch in den Mainstream aufgenommen worden. In der DDR sind solche Bewegungen in Subkultirell geblieben, der Mainstream war stärker Staatlich geprägt. In den 90ern, nach der Wende, hat man da wenig getan um die Bürger der ehemaligen DDR kulturell einzubinden. Es fand keine Aufarbeitung statt.
Entsprechend konnte rechtes Gedankengut weiter existieren und wurde an die folgenden Generationen weitergegeben. Das fällt uns jetzt auf die Füße.
Ich denke mal das ist insgesamt sehr Unterkomplex dargestellt, aber ich hoffe man sieht wo ich damit hin will. Das ist zumindest Möglicherweise ein Faktor unter vielen.

DOPPELEDIT, Story time: Ich beobachte außerdem, dass Eltern die Spinnenangst inzwischen an ihre Kinder weitergeben. Neulich im Schulgarten wollte kaum ein Kind einen Regenwurm auf die Hand nehmen, und Fluginsekten werden, egal was es ist, angekreischt und weggeschlagen. Diese grundsätzliche Entfremdung und Dämonisierung von Natur bekümmert mich, den wie sollen diese kleinen Menschen einen Planeten retten, der für sie fremd, eklig und gefährlich ist. Die Natur ist aber keine Bühne für unsere Menschen-Show, wir sind ein kleiner Teil in diesen biologischen Netzen, die wir gerade im großen Stil zerstören. Jetzt habe ich ganz schön weit ausgeholt.

Ich finde mich in vielen davon wieder und das tut mir gerade irgendwie echt gut.
Das schlimmste ist für mich, dass komplett absehbar ist wohin die Reise gehen wird. Die Minority World (“Der Westen” TM) wird weiter nach rechts rücken, Stück für Stück, bis die Demokratien zerbricht. Der Klimawandel wird nur milde abgebremst weiter gehen und mit jeder neuen Krise die dadurch ausgelöst oder verstärkt wird (Migration, Krieg, Produktionsketten die nicht mehr funktionieren, Wasserknappheit, Naturkatastrophen. Um nur die offensichtlichen zu nennen), werden die Menschen sich noch mehr von einfachen Parolen und symthomatischen Problembewältigingsphantasien einfangen lassen.
Ich schreibe das, während meine Frau meine zwei sechs Monate alten Kinder neben mir am Stillen ist. Es macht mir Angst, in was für eine Welt sie hineinwachsen werden.
