Demolition Man?? Can’t wait for this to go wrong.
3 x bacon 1 x toast 1 x coffee
I wouldn’t blame that on old age. I work with tards in their 20s and 30s who I’ve personally witnessed use caps lock instead of shift to capitalize one single letter at the beginning of a sentence. They also use the mouse to click in the text box that already has a blinking cursor to enter their username and then use the mouse again to select the password box instead of just using the tab key.
I’m not 100% clear on the pricing. Do I get this for “free” as part of a premium subscription to Proton Mail/Drive/Calendar or is this a separate subscription?
No love for Arctic? Def the best on iOS IMHO. Voyager is a close second.
Yeah, just ask any Tesla driver who also has Tesla insurance. I’d be screwed HARD as I go to work when it’s still dark out and according to Tesla that makes me a huge risk.
Well, if you think connected apps are the only way cars invade your privacy…. That’s cute, good for you.
Road speed, accelerator position, brake pedal position, number of seatbelts buckled or not, GPS position and heading, time since key on and probably at least a dozen other parameters I can’t think of off the top of my head are all being recorded. Those certainly are personal data that can and will be used against you in the event of a crash.
If they have airbags and ABS they know a shitload more than you think.
I’m so glad you found that video! I’ve seen it before and was having trouble finding it again to post a link here. Since you’ve already fallen down this rabbit hole, might I suggest you watch some reviews of the new 11th gen Accord. Honda is not only adding fake shift points to an eCVT that does NOT HAVE FIXED GEAR RATIOS but they are matching those fake shifts with fake engine noises piped through the speakers inside the cabin. They’ve also regressed from the elegant push button gear selector in my 10th gen to a completely unnecessary shift knob protruding from the console in the 11th gen. It’s actually embarrassing how much they’ve had to dumb the car down for people who are either stuck in the past or people who are weekend race car drivers. Mercifully, most of this garbage fakery is only really noticeable if you really flog it or put the car in “Sport” mode.
I’m going to knock your socks off… The vast majority of “normal” EVs don’t have gears as such. There are one or two supercar EVs that have a high and low gear but that’s it. Many hybrids don’t have gears either. My Accord Hybrid has an “eCVT” which is just marketing bullshit for covering up the fact that it’s functionally an EV with a gasoline powered generator. Honda has programmed the ECU to do fake shifts to make boomers feel more comfortable with the new technology. It’s only imitating an automatic transmission with software trickery. The gas engine isn’t even mechanically connected to the wheels for like 95% of the driving I do. IIRC that tech was borrowed or heavily influenced by the Prius.
Quickly becoming a moot point. EVs don’t even have gears to shift. Single speed forward or reverse. Shifting gears will eventually be like dialing a rotary phone.
I’m still running a DS414 filled with WD Red drives. I’ve only swapped out one of the drives as it was starting to have issues. I’ve considered upgrading for more features (Docker, Home Assistant etc) but can’t justify the expense just for “nice to have” instead of “need”. Realistically it only stores Linux ISOs that I get with Download Station.
Oh, ok. I like the pic with the bag full of rocks. I’m not that hard on the equipment but it’s nice to know the materials are that strong… if it’s not just marketing wank.
The Max 28 looks interesting. Thx!
That’s my problem. The bags that I see that look like they would meet my needs are really basic and cheap looking. Like the fabric would tear in the first week of use. I need to carry my work uniform, a BT speaker, 2 Contigo bottles and maybe have room for some other random stuff. I just need to throw it all in a single compartment and go. I only have to carry it as far as the car, toss it on the back seat and then carry into work from the parking lot. Don’t need chest and waist straps, don’t care how thick the padding is in the shoulder straps, don’t care if it’s waterproof, it will never hold my laptop, don’t need all the useless bells and whistles that seem to be so popular these days.
Amen, sister!! I’ve wanted one of those since they first launched in Europe.
