I remember when I first played all the enemies just immediately attacked Gale or whoever was the weakest. It was pretty brutal to keep Gale alive lol
That’s how corporations view us peasants. As their property that they are entitled too.
Well for me it’s taken a long time since I can only play in about 15-30 min increments since I’ve got a kid. However I’d say an experienced player(s) would probably take about 4-6 hours? Definitely something you could finish in one day if you started early enough. Definitely faster than some of the more heavy wargames that’s for sure.
Just set up my new copy of War of the Ring. Never played before so I’ll be learning as I play. On my big table I have Death in the Trenches set up but I’m almost done with that. Once that’s done I’ll be replacing it with Pacific War, I’m also playing that online with a group but nothing beats the physical game!
Thanks for the input! Yeah I play a lot of very rule heavy games too so I would probably view it as light as well. Might have to put it on my ever growing list of games to buy!
Let’s see this month has been a good one for board games. The wife and I played Splendor and Terra Mystica. She always beats me in Splendor, I don’t know why but I always lose by one 1 point every time! On the heavier/wargames side of things I’ve been playing Death in the Trenches had to take a two week break while I was out of town but I’m about 2/3 done with it and it’s been an exciting back and forth. Also have plans to play Pacific War and War Room later in the month.
How is the Deep Rock Galactic game? Love the video game and the board game looked interesting but I never pulled the trigger.
It’s all good I totally missed it too until someone pointed it out to me! I guess it shows St Louis’ gateway to the west arch and its just surrounded by a wasteland so at least St Louis is destroyed.
From the deep dive it looked like earth is destroyed though. Side note I remember reading a leak a long time ago on 4chan about how Bethesda’s next big game was Starfield and how it tied Fallout and Elder Scrolls together as being a part of the same universe.
The ship customization and being able to walk around your ship/boarding. It’s what I wanted Star Citizen to be but unfortunately that didn’t pan out.
Artificer was one of my most fun characters I ever played. Getting to come up with fun flavors for my spells as inventions was such a blast. Really helped pull me into some great role playing too.
For anyone scrolling by I decided to be the change I want to see and created a new hex and counter community. If you have any interest in wargaming particularly hex and counter style swing by! https://lemmy.world/c/hexandcounter
I’m going to miss r/hexandcounter. Wargaming is already a niche genre of boardgaming and the hex and counter is even further niche
Damn I felt that one lol. Trying to get multiple adults who all have full time jobs and kids schedules to line up is literally impossible. I have straight up given up on it
