They’ve fucked up everything else, so why not?
This is the Gunniverse which, so far, has been really good.
See Peacemaker and THE Suicide Squad (not to be confused with Suicide Squad).
It’s my understanding that they’ve retroactively placed Blue Beetle in it too.
So far the universe is nonexistent. So it’s not true to say it’s been really good. But to your point, they certainly haven’t “fucked everything up”, since they haven’t released anything yet.
But yes, The Suicide Squad was great, and I’m excited to see what the same director will do.
Blue Beetle is the first DCU character, but I don’t believe the movie is canon since it’s not the first DCU movie.

I’m no tax expert, but it’s my understanding that they cut off all the things they did because it was essentially free money back from the buy out. If they make a show/movie themselves and then axe it, I figure the best they could do is break even.
They’re losing a lot of money canning things, not breaking even.

Why the fuck a live action?
So they can cast someone super hot as Starfire who is also and adult.
Nightwing is going to be a shirtless & shredded 27 year old playing a 17 year old.
The edgy series was bad enough.
