What are your favourite moments from the Hungarian GP?
I’ll never forget this moment of bonkers:
It’s going to be nice just to see Danny Ric’s name back on the timing sheet.
Give that man a respectable result and I’ll be satisfied regardless of what else may happen ❤️
As for the question: Button '06 is easily one of the best moments from Hungary!
Imagine if Dan qualifies ahead of Perez.
@duff5000 @IndiBrony …but behind Yuki
If both Alphatauris quali ahead of Perez, he might not make it to the end of the season.
I’m really excited for that too. I watched his interview with Lawrence last night and you can really tell he’s still got the desire to win
Bottas bowling. The conspiracy theories afterwards were fun.
For the newer fans: Strike!
Lando 😭 and Lance Stroll went bowling as well
Yeah well bottas smashed into lando can’t blame him
That is one of the iconic images from one of the best seasons ever. That photo alone could be shown to prove how crazy good 2021 was
That whole race was crazy start to finish. Bottas bowling, lights out only for LH, Verstappen fighting for position with half a car, Hamilton campaigning up the field, Alonso defending like a madman to secure Ocon’s win. So many good moments!
I’m flying out to Budapest on Thursday, this will be my first race attended in person. I’m very excited!
Driving the Hungaroring in Assetto Corsa is hella fun. Its full of hard corners, so we’ll see how McLaren and Aston Martin handle this track. I cant wait!
I had a quick play in the Exos, man that’s a whole load of fun. Very tricky!
Verstappen wins by 13+ seconds.
Yawn.
The best way to enjoy this season is to pretend Verstappen doesn’t exist and treat 2nd place like 1st. By that metric it’s a banging season!
The 2006 race was quite interesting: Button got his first win, Alonso retired after getting a penalty in a practice session on Friday, Kubica finished in the points in his first ever race only to be disqualified afterwards, while BMW got their first podium with Heidfeld. Then 2009 and the incident with Massa, obviously. Ocon’s win in 2021 was totally unexpected, but the race was dull.
I think this post 1997 Damon Hill almost sums it up quite well.
Was amazing to watch at the time and heart breaking for Hill. Mansell’s win from 12th that they mention was also really good.
I remember watching that live as a kid and being gutted for Hill.
Weirdly, as a VER fan, I really liked the 2019 one where HAM won on strategy.
Edit: My fandom feelings were already satisfied by that first pole, I guess.
Well you have got to acknowledge that Merc played their strategy perfectly and Hamilton executed it well even though he was bitching about it the whole time. It was crazy that even then Verstappen and Hamilton were so quick that they finished like a minute ahead of the Ferraris in 3rd and 4th
Yup, perfectly executed by Merc and HAM.
That was an awesome race tbf.
What is the dance they did before the race called? looks interesting
Are you thinking of the left right swerving they do to warm up their tyres?
