    Maybe he’s been injured? I’m not sure, but his availability when he was with us wasn’t the best.

    As for why he was with us, when he was younger he was a quality defender. That ACL injury really did a number on him.

      Not just when he was younger. I would posit that the reason Rob seemed so bad for us was the same reason people underrated Gabriel last season - if a defender is asked to do too much, they look awful. Rob’s only really terrible games came when he was man marking Son, Salah or TAA level players. Gabriel had to work the hardest when zinchenko was playing the extra midfielder.

      Idk, maybe I’m wrong but the step up in our defence has been underrated

        Yeah, I mean he has been injured with Palace, but like, eye test shows he wasn’t a bad player. Just not good enough. Man was able to handle Haaland for a bit even last season.
