This album is a pleasant surprise for me! Their debut a few years ago was basic post-punk, which I liked, but it wasn’t really special. This album takes that post-punk foundation and throws a bunch of other stuff at it and it works for me. Some really interesting stuff going on here. Check it out!

Great album front to back, but the final two tracks, Blackpool Illuminations especially, cap it off masterfully. Early AOTY contender for me, closely followed by Nadine Shah’s Filthy Underneath.
