Gaza’s government media office accused the Israeli army of “committing a horrific massacre”. More than 70 people were killed and about 250 others wounded, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The citizens had congregated at al-Rashid Street, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way. Al Jazeera verified footage showing the bodies of dozens of killed and wounded Palestinians being carried onto trucks as no ambulances could reach the area.

“I have been waiting since yesterday. At about 4.30 this morning, trucks started to come through. Once we approached the aid trucks, the Israeli tanks and warplanes started firing at us, as if it was a trap.

No they’re not. No matter how horrific the actions of their government, never conflate that government with its people. Israelis have been killed horribly by Hamas, that doesn’t mean Palestinians are evil. Neither population deserves this violence.

Edit: yes, the Israeli children herded into a basement and then killed with a grenade deserved it, because Israelis are evil. Here’s a fun game: replace “Israeli” with “Palestinian” in that sentence. I can’t believe you guys aren’t familiar with that one already.

You should look up the experiments done by Stanley Milgram. He showed that “Just following orders” is a reasonable defense, by showing that “normal” people will also “just follow orders” more often than not, even absent the threat of any direct or indirect detriment to themselves.

r/worldnews just seems to be a constant Hasbara conversation these days.

All voices are pro Israel. which is completely different to anything I have seen in my real life.

    Good work Hasbara.

Beginning of the Iraq war was worse. You couldn’t dissent. At least with this one there is small voice of dissent.
