I recall one that shows the lonely Hobbes doll left out in the rain on the corner, and Mom rushing out to grab him before he is completely soaked. He absolutely waits with Calvin and then is left behind. I assume Mom retrieves Hobbes daily. EDIT: Found it.

Dad and his endless quest to reduce how much gas he used and to try to ride his bike more often were always qualities I saw as positive anyway.
