The monthly Steam Hardware & Software Survey is here for January 2024, and while there was a drop for both Linux and macOS we're still seeing Linux be firmly in second place on Steam now.

      First, the deck is responsible for almost half of “Linux” users, so it’s not in competition with Mac computers.

      Second, by your logic, Linux is better than macOS by a very slim margin, but windows is by far and away the best operating system out there.

        i don’t think that they were arguing linux is better because it has more users i think they’re just using it as an opportunity to shit on mac
