      RCS stands for Rich Communications Suite. Its a standard developed by google to make texting more feature rich like dedicated messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.       RCS is Google’s attempt to replace SMS with a protocol they can control.

        Long overdue replacement to sms but unfortunately everyone has pretty much given up being a provider except Google and soon to be Apple
