      I was thinking maybe it’s some sort of interdimensional mixup where the astronaut is in an alternate reality and that’s why she doesn’t think the daughter is right, and the daughter doesn’t think the mom is right.

        That’s a solid point, but then is the bathroom mirror some kind of portal? Or is it just a literary device… I’m intrigued but a bit leery of sci-fi that doesn’t at least offer theories (if not outright explanations) for the mysteries of the universe.
