I’ve never heard of it, but some google-fu leads me to a podcast about a PF1e game. I’ve never been able to get that into lets play podcasts, but podcasts are generally hard for me to focus on. Lately, I have been driving a lot so maybe giving something like this a chance is a good place for me to try again.

Any recommendations on where (or which podcast) to start?

The Glass Cannon Network. Their flagship was pf1e but they expanded to a lot of other systems as well. Starfinder, delta green, blades In the dark… Many more I am behind on the shows but they put out a lot of quality content. They are/were working on a pf2e series but I haven’t checked into it yet. Like I said, they have a lot of content. For a quick dive and not a years long campaign I would recommend a few things from their new game who dis? Series where they played different games for a few weeks each.

I’m going to check those out to see if I like their style. I’ve got a short flight coming up for work, and I think one of those should fit in the flight time pretty well. Thanks for the suggestions!

The style does vary, they have a “core” group that has members in most of their games with various other cast members spread around. They have a lot of fun, sometimes more rules heavy or light. It really feels to me like a group of friends sitting around playing. Especially in the live streamed ones where there are on air and not edited. Rules discussions and jokes and barbs and a very friendly atmosphere. Their edited sessions ar much tighter but have a bit less banter in general.

Agreed you should pick a system or genre you like and listen to them play that. I love the Side Quest Side Sesh podcast they put out at the start of lockdowns when they could no longer play in person. That’s what get me into it after being suggested by friends. It’s a relatively short play through of various PFS scenarios (37 episodes) compared to their flagship play through of all six books of Giantslayer (300+ episodes). They’re currently playing a 2e conversion of Strange Aeons for their live shows while they get ready to launch Gatewalkers. Like the OP said, they have branched out to tons of stuff including Starfinder, 2e, Blades in the Dark, Traveller, Delta Green, etc.

Side Quest Sesh is PFS 1e or PFS 2e? If it’s 1e, then that would be awesome because I’d really like to go back and fill in my gaps of what happened in the first years of organized play, but my local group has no desire to ever touch 1e again.
