Are you not paying attention? Homeless just hit record highs, credit card usage for basic necessities is through the roof, food banks are seeing record turnout for distribution, wages still stagnant, people can’t afford housing. These things will not get fixed in a few months.
Holy shit I work with helping underresourced people and shit is bad. It’s hitting at least half the population. The homelessness is out of control and the cost of basic needs far exceeds wages. You need like five incomes per household or just be a rich asshole.
That’s what’s frustrating as fuck with the types that deny the facts and keep repeating the bullshit that things are good. I know several people that are struggling themselves and keep repeating that things are good because of what they keep getting told.
I’d say inflation is to blame, but it’s really just greedy corporations who figured out that they can get more out of us and claim hardship due to inflation when we complain about it. Record profits year over year for corporations, but zero dollars of that value is passed to the consumer. Unemployment is at record lows, but people are still struggling to get by because wage growth has been stagnant for two decades.
I’m worried that things are so out of control that nobody will be able to right the ship anymore, but I certainly don’t want the guy who hopes things will get worse in the next 12 months to be the one America trusts to handle it.
I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion from my post. Like, at all. The clear choice is to vote for the only party that is actively trying to do something, rather than the party that is banking on the problem getting worse.
Except our lives have gotten better over the past 50 years. Measurably. Usually under democratic leadership. The “lesser of two evils” strategy only works when it successfully keeps the greater evil out of office, and America has the memory of a goldfish when it comes to voting and keep putting the worst possible candidates into office at the most critical times.
Not sure why you are on the politics community advocating for non-voting, anyway.
I’m in wholesale to retail and it’s WAY worse this year than it’s ever been in my 25 years. Most of my customers restock my merchandise once a month at minimum, many several times a month. Huge pricing resistance although my prices have been stable for years. This year it’s been about every 2-3 months. And my freight is through the fucking roof with most markets quadruple what they’ve always been.
They’re a left-biased, instant news publication. They operate off of the 24h news cycle.
To be clear, I would much rather read a left-biased news publication than a right-biased one, because one side has invented reality wholecloth, while the other still (generally) believes facts in context speak for themselves.
But if you’re trying to be a thoughtful and rational person, I wouldn’t exclusively read their articles, and when I do, I’d look for the overarching points and try to avoid getting bogged down in the rhetoric.
Is The Daily Beast a good source? I haven’t read the article, of course.
It’s literally a video of him saying in an interview that he hopes the economy crashes in the next 12 months.
Doesn’t look like he’ll get his wish, thankfully.
Just imagine how bad the economy would be right now if we had re-elected Trump.

Then the clear choice for everyone is refuse to vote for a democrat or a republican.

That’s my solution. Red or blue the quality of our lives do not get better. 50 years of this ‘lesser evil’ has not produced lesser evil

This is the stupidest thing I’ve read all day. Are you trying to work a psyop?
I mean hopefully, but working in shipping and seeing the lack of volume in things outside of necessities, I’m concerned.

It’s not the best source: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/daily-beast/
The Daily Beast is garbage propaganda.
The daily beast is hard to read on the best of days but they do usually link to whatever they are opining on.
I’m not sure. Every time I click one they have those stupid tags in red at the top. They look like they’re a click bait / sensationalist tabloid.

I just want to compliment you on one of the most thorough and nuanced replies I’ve ever witnessed to such a question.
Thank you! Nice comments are always appreciated!
Metric ton of salt grains but I feel like they can help some stories the right may prefer to ignore that are important into their awareness at least.
Can’t speak to the credibillity but if they link to stuff you should be able to decide for yourself
