I’m considering moving from Android to iPhone, but I read a lot about iPhone images being over processed. What’s your opinion? Am I going to be disappointed in the camera?
I did find this thread where one user mentioned it may be the viewer on the iPhone, and that pictures look fine viewed on other devices.

I’m curious to hear opinions. How happy are you with your phone camera?
My experience is it’s as bad as you fear it will be. I hate any photo with trees or greenery in it especially. The wide angle lens is far from amazing also. I’m actually thinking of buying a dedicated camera as well, because I’m no longer happy with my iPhone shots. I also have a Pixel for work. Overall better photos for sure.
Well dang. That’s disappointing. I recently converted to Mac and wanted to take advantage of the integration. I take a ton of pictures though and don’t want a camera that’s sub par. My current is the s22 ultra, so ideally it would be similar quality.
Thanks for your feedback. It gives me something to think about.
@Humanbiscuit this is quite painful to read. 90% of my photos are trees/nature, which mostly look ok but not great on iPhone X. I use Camera+ for macros, which is better than native but still horribly unreliable. I was looking at the 14 Pro for better shots, but based on your experience I may hold out & hope for the 15
@GrouchyLady
… or the Olympus Tough TG-6, which is vastly cheaper and looks really good
