For whatever reason, he does not want to be defined by that word. I have no problem with that. He is himself, and not a stereotype of whatever “a progressive” is to you.

Still proud to have him representing me!

That whole situation is such a mess I can give people a pass, they are both doing horrible things to each other and have for so long the waters are too muddy to claim any sort of moral high ground.

As long as there is no support for Netanyahu and his terrorist government, or Hamas and their terrorist government then we are good in my books.

He’s openly against a cease fire until Hamas is “exterminated completely” and is fine with Israels haphazard labeling of anyone as Hamas…

One of his constituents posted “free Palestine” on Twitter, and he went on a rant saying that can’t happen until Hamas is completely eliminated. …

Which you may remember from the US civil right movement and even the past few years where conservatives say we can’t address systemic racism u til everyone stops complaining about it.

Then if it’s every brought up again, they say we’re still talking about it so we can’t fix it.

It’s a paradox. And you can say some Palestinians are doing more than protesting, but they’re also treated multitudes of times worse over there. To the point where it’s not uncommon for “settlers” to show up backed by foreign military to illegally seize land and if anyone refuses to comply, they’re labeled a terrorist and detained or outright killed in the spot.

So his argument makes zero logical sense.

But it is a standard excuse used by people who oppose civil rights.

          HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry, did you seriously just say you’re fine with the genocide in Gaza?

          Go fuck yourself.

Would somebody let me know when we’re out of the compromise stage of grief?

"No one passes the purity test. That’s why we invented it: so no single person or group of people could ever galvanize a movement. As long as they needed a perfect leader, we were free to do what we wanted.

A venal sin disassembled their cause; meanwhile, we were literally robbing them blind and working their families to death without a care in the world.

Sin never once factored into our allegiances."
