when i was 11 i watched it and i didnt understand why they kept saying this was a curse because “it would be cool to be able to switch between genders like that” and “doesnt everyone wanna be both male and female??” clueless genderfluid child. i know several trans people whether nonbinary, transfem or transmasc that had their awakening because of ranma 1/2. Rumiko Takahashi cracked a lot of eggs with that series.

Hahah right?! Didn’t sound like a curse at all. Not being able to switch between genders felt more like a curse to me.
