My baby is almost crawling (or scooting, really) this week. I finally saw her doing a couple of good, intentional movements today and was so excited I almost cried. I know once she starts I’ll never be able to stop her, but it’s been so hard watching her want to move herself, but getting frustrated instead. And I know she can do it because she basically crawls in her sleep, she just can’t quite do it on purpose while awake!

That is fantastic! Congratulations! I was so excited when my daughter started crawling, it’s a whole new world when it’s your first time! A few weeks after chasing her I mourned the days of being able to set her somewhere and know that’s where she’ll stay! Haha. But it is certainly wonderful. It’s so crazy with ours the crawling and walking wasn’t exactly a linear progression it was just like out of nowhere. BAM! It happened. So get ready!

For me, my daughter is really starting to try and talk, she’ll repeat back almost everything that sounds vaguely like what you said. It’s really exciting. She’ll also learned how to “jump” recently since she has been in a parent and me type of gymnastics class and that’s been really fun, the older she gets the more fun I am having. Best part of life.

Thank you for your post! This is great!
