    Gerrymandering is legal, as is mentioned in the article. What’s not legal is racial gerrymandering. If all a court does is find a map to be gerrymandered, it won’t send it to anyone to be redrawn.

      If all a court does is find a map to be gerrymandered

      Courts don’t just release random findings. To get a finding, somebody with standing has to bring a legally valid case before the court. If they find a map to be gerrymandered, then it is related to some court case about gerrymandering.
