Nearly halfway done with the cute vampire romance book! I am so ready for the new lemmy update. So freaking ready.
I guess we all are!
Which book is it?
How to Bite Your Neighbor and Win a Wager!
I just finished reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. A romantacy series set in a war college. I’d say that the first book was great (I’m still hungover on the book, so I may change my opinion of it later). Brought back the excitement that teenage-me had while reading Harry Potter and other YA of the era. The second book was fun in places but I have a lot to complain about too.
I’d still say that the series, so far, is worth it if you are looking for an easy and fun read.
I’m about 2/3 of the way done with Iron Flame. I’m enjoying the series for the most part.
I just started listening to Lessons in Chemistry, and so far it’s excellent. It’s also depressing. I (a mostly cishet male), know cognitively that women have faced horrific treatment and discrimination for thousands of years. So far, the writing in Lessons in Chemistry is very good at making something I know as a fact feel very visceral.
That’s a good thing, and I hope many men read this and experience it in a similar way as I am, though I fear the sorts of men that need to experience this are not the sort of men that are likely to read this book.
I started “The Library at Mount Char” by Scott Hawkins. I’m not entirely sure where it’s going to end up, but the ride’s been a fun so far.
I’m just getting started on a biography of P.G. Wodehouse. Not bad so far!
I’m reading Beyond The Story: 10 Year Record of BTS. It’s a memoir of all the members of the Korean group BTS ghostwritten by Myeonsoek Kang. It’s super interesting to me who has been a fan of BTS since 2017 because there is a lot of lore about their beginnings that has been passed down and then passed down again so I’m enjoying reading the first-hand accounts of what actually went down.
