The first Digimon game I remember playing was Digimon World 4, and the second one was Digimon World: Data Squad. I remember playing as Dorumon in the former game, and not getting that far in the latter game, though I saw my brother get way further into the game than me.

Digimon World 1 on PS1. I still have the game guide and remember slowly figuring out how the evolution mechanic worked, by trial and error. Still love that game. Now there’s an evolution guide online that’ll help you get any mon you want.

FWIW, you can trust any information for that game posted by SydMontague. He knows that game (and most, if not all digimon games) inside and out.

Digimon world for the ps1. Never really understood how to actually play it as intended as a kid but I would use a hameshark to cheat in the digivolution items and just play around with the different mons

I got DW1 and DW3 on the same day, but I didn’t understand how 1 worked, so I grew much more attached to 3. I eventually came back and beat 1 after getting used to the similar mechanics in re:digitize, but 3 will always be my original.

OG Digimon world back when I was a kid. I think a friend/neighbours kid had it and I played it there…

I’m in fact planning on doing a pretty much blind playthrough of it on twitch once I manage to get a proper mic arm for my mic…

I have a very distinct memory of the original Digimon World being rented for me as a kid. I couldn’t figure it out but my dad played it all night.
