Hopefully one day lemmy will have actual polls, too.

I’m still really confused why there’s so extremely few Minnetonka and jumping puzzles in the daily rotation.

There are so many good ones that are absolutely viable, even without going to the living world maps (not sure if they can check for LW unlocks to determine the tasks).

I think they moved all JPs to the weekly category, and left mini dungeons in the dailies. Also seems like the pool of minidungeons is only Spirit Vestibule, Vexas Lab or The long way around.

Vasburg armory is also still in that pool.

But the actual list is so much longer still: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini-dungeon

Granted, some of them are extremely easy (not an issue for dailies), and some (like Valdhertz) break if there’s too many players (absolute no-go).

IMO, they should combine the dungeons and JP’s into one pool, then sort by completion time to divide them into daily or weekly.

Oh least…anything related to content I have not unlocked yet, like why are you giving me tasks for the latest addon when I’m still jumping around in End of Dragons?

I started with only WvW and PvP dailies. Got annoyed by “Defend X Y-times” and unchecked WvW since. I never even bothered with PvE, since PvP is so easy to complete. It’s basically 1-2 matchws for dailies (mostly one) and about 10 per week.

Yeah, it would really help, if the people selecting those tasks would play their own game. The old daily system was the reason, why I tried out WvW afterall as a non-PvPer. I used to be there pretty much every day at least for the dailies and sometimes a lot longer, e. g. if I bumped into a friendly squad. I’m still a pretty terrible WvW player, but I learned a lot about a game mode I otherwise wouldn’t know at all.

I also wish there was more variety and that the tasks were more balanced effort-wise, e. g. Spirit Vestibule is an extreme outlier in the daily category.

Last but not least I wish that Anet would stop treating Events like Quests/Tasks. The old daily system did that, too. And even worse, they abused them again for the New Hero Jump Start. I can not overstate, how much I hate this. I want to bump into events by accident and not (desperately) look for them.

I set everything to wvw only and I’ve been much happier with them now. You pretty much get all of it just by playing the mode as normal. Except edge of the mists stuff. Those ones are annoying.

According to the GW2Wiki the Participate in 1 Defense Event is still in the list of WvW Daily Tasks. And with only 9 tasks total the chance to get this as 1 of 4 WvW dailies is still about 45% (1 - 8/9 * 7/8 * 6/7 * 5/6).

Well, at least we can skip 1 task now (as opposed to SotO launch).
