Hell, I went for the longest time resisting the urge to get one, as I have a great gaming laptop (RTX 3070ti,) and eventually caved in. The draw of being able to play anywhere, anytime, plus the hype, is what eventually convinced me. The Steam Deck is pretty amazing, and worth every penny.

I am only be able to resist cause I work from home and does not have much time outside and play. But recently I am reevaluate that cause my son is slowly getting better at playing games so I really can have some side device that allows me to play on the side or together with him.

same, I wonder who paid the price for the stress of commuting and the time wasted? Yep, me, myself. So I am not going back to office even if they offer some rebates for that. Nothing beats that you have time to go pick up your kid casually and talk about their day on the way home. I can always do a bit more later if it eats into my performance check. And I still got pretty good feed backs and got a raise/extra bonus this year, despite they barely know what I looks like. (since I don’t usually plug in my webcam even during meeting. I have the habit of still keep working on stuff during not so important meetings.) With important meeting I usually like to share just what I am worked on instead of sharing my boring unshaved face. XD

I got a deck and a dock, and plugged the dock into my TV. So now I play it lying in the couch in two different ways.
