    My comment was more pointing out how FF is in basically every single category. Its like the people nominating only recognize the name and just nominated it automatically.

      There are a lot categories it doesn’t get nominated. For example the big game of the year award or best art direction. But i agree that the name itself help the game a lot for sure.

      Final Fantasy is still the biggest name in the genre other than Pokémon, which could be considered a pioneer of its own genre (perennial products in general also tend to have a tough time getting nominated for awards). Persona is starting to nip at its heels, though, and Dragon Quest also recently had its best seller ever.

      Final Fantasy XVI was the first big PS5 exclusive, and the first blockbuster for a next gen system always gets attention from gaming press.
