It’s not clear if this is a bug or an intentional update.

If you want to browse tweets, user profiles, and comment threads on the web, then you currently need to be signed in to a Twitter account.

    You’re right. None of the workarounds work any more. Neither the user-agent nor publish.twitter.com nor Nitter. Seems like they also don’t want to be indexed by search engines any more.
