And if it is yet how do you do it?

Every single time this topic comes up, someone tells me I should disable all NSFW content.

I’m perfectly happy to see general NSFW content, I just don’t want a cock in my face every 10 seconds.

I don’t understand people that want their social media filled with porn. When I’m in that mood, I go looking for porn specifically; I don’t want to see it everytime I’ve got 5min to kill and start scrolling…

Is there a way of sharing a list/filter like this that I can copy paste and block the same on my end?

That is an idea I have been trying to get people onboard with. Something like a shared or distributed block list. Think adblock but for lemmy and users/instances/communities/etc instead of ads

          That would be awesome.

I will sign up on day one to the “every ducking sports team” block list.

I love sportball as much as the next person (I don’t), but how can Paris, Illinois possibly have this many different sportball teams?

They have these on bluesky. You can subscribe to them. I mostly use them for blocking niche content I’m not interested in… That and the susprising amount of dick pics.

I use a greasemonkey script for desktop and the Connect app on my phone to block instances. If I remember correctly, I think someone told me that instance blocking was coming in the .19 update.
