I saw a reply to a post from 2 months ago that seems to indicate that imgur is used in voyagerapp for image attachments, but for me it always uploads to my home instance, which impacts its storage space.

Am I missing a setting to change that? Was that other post wrong about imgur being used?

edit: by “my home instance”, I mean reddthat.com, not a self-hosted one

Thank you again for the reply! I think I just figured out what I was doing wrong with the old version.

Instead of copying the URL, I saved the image to my photos, then shared it from photos with a new “Upload to Imgur” option that was at the bottom of the share sheet.

Is that the intended way for it to be used (which is still great), or is there a different method I’m missing to directly use an URL?

edit: also, I went to download the new version just to be updated, but it appears to still be the old one from August. Is there a different link for it?

It’s still this url, the version should say 1.1.1. Not sure what you are trying to do. If you have an image that you want to upload, you can use the shortcut via the sharesheet to copy the image url (this should work from photos or also from a website or anywhere else where you can share an image). If the image is already uploaded somewhere you can probably just copy the image url from there.

Still says 1.1 for me, even after refreshing the page:

nvm about the URL, I realized I was combining two different incompatible things in my head. All good now on that front.

Maybe thats a cdn update issue and it takes some time to be visible from everywhere, it’s definitely there for me. Glad you figured it out.
