Episode Discussion Thread
Aqua doing the fan dance completely deadpan had me laughing so hard and it was so fitting for him. This series is so good I am really excited for the second season. It was a given but I’m glad there’s confirmation.
I’m really excited for the Kana-Akane bout… both in romance and on stage. Also Kana just doing a 180 after hearing Aqua describe his relationship with Akane as “just work” is priceless. Now I can finally binge the manga freely… I’m ready to get disappointed again, Mr. Akasaka.

Her being an absolute brat and being so smug with Aqua is priceless.
One of the rare shows to actually live up to the hype and remain fairly consistent through out. I was worried the main plot wouldn’t live up to the first ep, but it held up and even exceeded that episode at times.
Solid episode to round out the season. Looking forward to season 2.
What a great fricking show. I don’t know if I want to start read the manga now or not because I just love these voice actors so much and don’t know if I can fully appreciate the manga without them.
Maybe I am thinking too deep into this but on the first shot of the crowd you could only see red and yellow glow sticks but after Aqua cheered up Kana and she started to believe in herself, a lot of white glow sticks could be seen. I believe that they were there for the whole time but Kana just didn’t acknowledge them. I hope Aqua will soon start to develop some feelings because Kana deserves all the love that she can get.
See you Season 2
I liked how quickly the debut of our new idol group passed and appreciate how the lights let us know that the audience was almost entirely MEM-cho fans. Though I wonder what was up with the Ruby fans, no one should have even known who she was to have those few red lights we saw.
I’m glad to see Akane staying in Aqua’s story as they get another acting gig together, though now with Kana as a love rival on stage.
Overall I enjoyed this show greatly, and look forward to further seasons. The characters are highly endearing and feel like they were written with layers to them.
That’s the power of in-universe supernatural charisma I guess for Ruby. It would have been more surprising to have no colour representation at all.
The fact they already had merchandise like the T-Shirts with B-小町 being worn was more of a surprise for me. Like damn, Miyaemon works fast.
Earlier in the episode one of the members of a different idol group said she would go watch and then there’s a shot where the audience is dancing like crazy and she’s standing there unmoving. I wonder what’s going through her head? Is she in awe, is she scared of their potential and seeing a tough rival?
