For roguess, I confidently predict that Sneak attack will become once-per-round in some way some how. Cunning Strike is likely a way to claw back some of the high end damage potential that is lost by performing what is now a Rules-As-Written Loophole on doublestacking sneak attacks by somehow triggering off-turn attacks using your reaction.
I predict that it will have the following options:
Just damage
Status effects
Mobility
And perhaps more. This will be the opt in complexity that is missing from the Rogue at the top end of Tier 2 and onwards, allowing people who just like their simple rogues to deal more damage, and for tactical masterminds to pull of clutch moves.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the changes.
