This is dumb enlightened centrist bullshit. Leftist socialist never stopped being at war with the bourgeois. We’ve been telling the maga crowd ten million times that they are voting against their interests, but we can’t work together because they are literally fascists and are incapable, literally incapable of doing anything in good faith. In practice what it boils down to is that fighting the bourgeois and fighting conservatives is the same thing. It’s not as if fighting maga crowd is keeping the bourgeois out of shot. No, it’s all the same, maga is fascism. Fighting maga is what class war looks like.

I disagree because the way I see it: This is not about leftists, but rather Democrats and Republicans. The right wing class war is and intentional distraction from class solidarity, and a lot of people got distracted by it during the 2016 - 2020 presidency. MAGA is only but a portion of conservatives, and conservative a get distracted when they buy into MAGA talking points. The people we see on TV might be owner class, but our working class friends and allies get distracted by it too.

It just all sounds like trying to blame leftists for getting distracted by the knife at their throat. It’s kind of a thing you have to take seriously.

It’s Mr. Burns questioning why you’re fighting the dog he sicced on you. You absolutely should blame Mr. Burns. You should blame the dog, especially when it’s supposed to be capable of more than drooling Fox News taking points. It’s hard to blame the guy defending himself from both.

What I’m trying to say is: Leftists are not the ones distracted by the culture war. But liberals and conservatives are being distracted by, aptly put, Mr. Burns.

In this case I do blame the guy defending himself from both, because the class war includes all of the working class. If I can de-worm their brains, great, and if I can’t, we still have a class war to win. We have to get along regardless or conservatives distracted by fascists continue to be useful for them.

I mean. This is true. But there are two ways of using this statement.

    1. Ignoring the plight of minorities, not fighting for their rights, and insisting they put their suffering aside because “no war but class war”.
    2. Uniting in support of people with minoritised identities, forming stronger alliances, and refusing to infight because “no war but class war”.

I hope you mean the second one.

The way I understand it MAGA sees themselves one level outside and that everything else is all “uniparty”. Like they’re a force above the influence of either of these petty squabbles and Trump will be the one to dismantle it all and return their once glorious homeland back to them.

There are plenty of people all to eager to divide themselves into groups. I don’t know if all the billionaires on the planet working in unison could bring about cohesion amongst the masses, but they’re happy either way because they’re billionaires.

For some reason we require contrarians. Also many people prefer being angry and seeing other people be angry so it justifies their own anger/lack of ability to emotionally regulate.
